 I've helped run the social media accounts for multiple news organizations, including The Texas Tribune, the Austin American-Statesman and The Dallas Morning News. You can also find me tweeting about K-12 news on my personal Twitter.


The Texas Tribune

I spent nearly a year as an engagement fellow for The Texas Tribune, where I helped manage their social media accounts. I also contributed to the newsletter, live-streaming of events and other digital products and projects.


The Dallas Morning News

As an intern for the Dallas Morning News, I worked for the paper's audience team, where I published daily social media posts, managed the homepage, moderated website comments and more.


Austin American-Statesman

Along with writing articles at the Statesman, I helped build a database about SXSW events in 2019, re-launched an initiative seeking questions from the Austin community and shared stories on Facebook and Twitter.

The Daily Texan

During my three years working for The Daily Texan, including as director of digital strategy, I prioritized growing the paper's digital presence. My work included developing and launching several new audience engagement initiatives, including Facebook groups and questionnaires soliciting and answering audience questions about COVID-19, the legislative session and other topics.

I also served as the editor of the social media and newsletters team, where I overhauled the paper's approach to its social media and helped grow the paper's Twitter account into the most followed college media Twitter account in the U.S.
